Somebody please tell me how to perform a Naval Invasion (problem now solved)
I'm trying to conquer Greece and I have all the mainland victory points; all I need to do is grab Crete. However, I can't seem to actually get troops from Port A to Port B, pardon the pun.

I read on the wiki that you need at least 70% naval superiority in all regions where the transports will cross. This was done and it didn't work.

I had also read that you could only do 10 divisions at a time. I selected 10 nstead of the full Army and it still didn't work.

What am I supposed to do? Every time I click the naval invasion order only ports I already control light up as possible destinations, and it seems impossible to get my troops to land in enemy territory.

You click on the naval invasion button, then left click on the port the troops will be leaving from and right click on the invasion destination. You will need convoys for the invasion to begin, and you will also have to wait for your army to finish planning. Usually for 10 divisions this will take 60 days.

It's best to use marines when invading because they suffer less of a penalty when trying to land.

You'll also need naval superiority in the regions your units are crossing. You should put one fleet on search and destroy and the other on convoy escort.

Thanks for telling me about clicking on the port that the invasion starts from. I had all my invasion troops already in a port province, so I had just assumed that the game would know I wanted to start it from there.

Also, funny enough I had just finished watching a naval invasion tutorial the moment you made your post (I've been checking back every few minutes)

what i believe you had to do was left click where the division would be stationed at ( idea: have it be a port your Unit is already at. ), and then right click the place you want it to land. Make sure your division is assigned to it. and wait a certain amount of time ( depends on the units ), before you can commence the landing.

An important note to remember with naval invasions is that the max number of invading divisions (initially 10) is persistant throughout all theatres and regions. So sometimes when youre trying to organize an invasion and it doesnt work, check to see if you forget to cancel any other divisions planning to invade that you may have forgotten about.

That being said, once you capture an enemy port, you can transport units to it with no prep time, right? After I invaded Crete I didn't know how to transport units back other than to do a naval invasion on my own territory. However, I then figured out I simply right click and they start transporting immediately. Does this work in reverse?

I ask because I'm a war with Great Britain and I'm curious if I could do a naval blitz (have entire navy and airforce in just two sea zones, capture port then roll in with dozens more divisions and spread out over the entire island) and need to be able to transport units with no prep time to captured ports for this to be feasible.
