Will puppets give me manpower?
I read that on the wiki but after puppeting dutch indies (as Australia), I don't have any extra manpower...

PS: I have together for victory dlc

You can request forces from them. Open their country tab, and find the button in the diplomacy list. A slider appears and you can decide how much you want to grab from them.

Go to "Recruit & deploy" tab. Next to Division Designer there should be little crown icon. Click it and it will open list of your subjects. From there you can copy one of their templates into your own recruitment list. New OOB should show on your recruitment list, with little flag of puppet state next to it. After that you can modify that templat and so on as usual. Training such division uses your equipment but manpower is split between yours and puppet's pool (iirc it's 30%-70%).

Will that increase the autonomy of my puppet?

I don't think so.

Although it doesn't raise autonomy to initially recruit a puppet's manpower into your divisions, they will get warscore in combat for the casualties those divisions suffer. Puppets do gain autonomy from contributing warscore, but since it isn't a spectacularly-large amount you shouldn't worry too much about it (this is mainly a problem when recruiting from countries like Russia, China, or Indonesia).

True. But their autonomy shold go down initially, as you're effectively giving them equipment while training troops.

At least I think it does. When I train Raj units as UK their autnomy keeps going down.

Edit:
No, it doesn't. My bad. I forget about Princely States national spirit. Raj wasn't best choice to test that :)

I don't think you can. For navy and air force you have to use your own manpower.

Edit:
Btw, I was kinda wrong before. Exact ratio of manpower used depends on the autonomy level of puppet.

After copying a puppet's template you don't actually have to train that army in their territory you can just switch one of your units to that template and it will suck their manpower right out of their country like magic. So in reality all you have to do is train a small Garrison unit deploy it in your country in and switch it to one of their templates and you will absorb their manpower.

I do this extensively when I play France I release all of my Nations as puppets that I don't want and then suck their manpower dry. I usually use their manpower for my Garrison units after using them in my armies.
