Build an Aircraft carrier as Germany?

Is it viable to do so? So far i believe in Subs and destroyers and sometimes replacing bigger ships but is it a good idea to build one?

Carrier, carrier, carrier.
You can build 2-3 before war breaks out, and have 4 when you finish off poland and france, and you can turn aginst the uk.

I would recommend them personally, although you're probably still going to be fighting mainly hit-and-run or fighting in the North Sea until France is defeated. Carrier aircraft are a lot more effective than land-based aircraft in naval battles (since only a fraction of land aircraft tend to actually reach the battle at all).

Carrier based battlegroups are immensely more powerful than Battleship based ones. Simply ensure that you have a sufficient amount of screens for your fleet and you carriers will dominate the waves.
