such as destroyers you need the small gun mounts installed or it's not even a destroyer yet. For the light cruiser or heavy cruiser you'll need the 6-in or 8-in guns installed first or they're not even considered a cruiser at that point
If you dont have MtG then you don't need to create variants as the ship designs are pre-scripted
That means you either need to appoint a naval military advisor to get a daily gain of experience or you have to send your existing fleet to training to grind navy experience for you. It usually takes 3XP to add a new module.
Almost the same system is used to upgrade your tanks (land experience) or planes (air experience) with the only exception that you can't really create new ships wihout the required experience while you can build the basic tanks or planes from the beginning after you researched them.
Also you can gain naval experience by getting a Navy doctrine admiral.
That's nice to know I've never had ships training for a long period of time but I may test this in the future and see what happens. I always took those ships that were heavily damaged out of the fleet and had them repair. Over the weekend if I do test this theory and I have one sink I will come back to this thread and give more detail but thanks for the information.
A lot of mods have the navy designed to require Mtg.
Vanilla without Mtg shouldn't show this message.
It seems they didn't add default module to some ship which create this bug.
Probably best to let the people who created this mod the details (exactly which ships from which country is affected) so they can fix it whenever they update the mod.
