American Civil war broken?

had full support of the house senate and several puppets, was 70% fascist
they spawn with double the boats, planes and units, randomly getting territory and choking my people out,
They're the ones that are rebelling but my puppets join them wtf
had 90% stability.
if you do become fascist you can miss a research slot. apparently the csa is too dumb to research that much

Just tried fascist USA and it so didnt work. My guess is that you shouldnt take that path to early, if at all. I couldnt even reach the focus where you would keep some states before civil war broke loose. Then I had 8 Divisions against 46, tried to get the focus for the loyalty corps and just stall. Then came douglas Mc Arthur with his brilliant idea of taking over "just for the civil war". The hint that he speaks about himself in the third person should gave me warning enough. I ended up winning the civil war but the game was over for me.
I had 80% fascist support but now Douglas Mc Arthur was my leader with his neutral party. Stability of 25% or lower, most of the focus things I couldnt do anymore, especialy in the fascist tree and there was no option to boost neutrality support to at least get some stability. That was some unfun sht I tell you.

The civil war just seems to fire way too early after getting one of the focuses that start the timer. For example, being unable to get the help of the bund, even when going straight for it after starting the timer, which us a prerequisite for it.
The "seek foreign help can apparently give you additional options too, like setting up training camps in italy, but again, the time given to do these is way too little, rendering it unusable too. And i think these foreign help desisions are actually the ones that are supposed to help you the most for the civil war, together with the hell of the bund focus.
Increasing the time you have to prepare for the civil war should fix these problems, making it way more enjoyable too, with it basicallt becoming a race of you building up foreign army camps, thus getting enouth troops to actually fight your own population.

I know right? Self entitlement is always so cringy. Now back to the topic: In the video the guy has a decision to "raise militia" when the rebellion kicks off. I did not find this to be true in my game. Did I miss something important?

You have to complete the focus Freedom Corps that will let you, also try for the German American Bund one if you can, I can't get it before War breaks out but if you can it keeps the midwest from rebelling.

They gimp Fascist America so much it's not even funny you lose research slots (play your cards right and you can have three or four as Commies) overwhelming rebellion, gonna wait for some more patches and some mods before playing USA I think.

Eliminate the depression first because PP is incredibly important for the USA at the start. This will involve going down America First --> Chinese Exclusion. Do not take the +fascist adviser until you've nearly completed the Intervention route. Then you can focus on the other route to eliminate the Great Depression. Grab the research slot.

Once the Depression is eliminated go for the Intervention path and grab the Research slot. This research slot is a required Democracy check and you don't want to miss it.

Focus on building military factories in the South & Midwestern areas while shifting all military factories that will flip to the Constitutionalists to civ factories.

You should be unlocking the Free Corps & Bund FIRST to effectively split the country in half rather than deal with uprisings in 75% of the country.

As it stands the Second American Civil War event tree is unwinnable without bugs/cheating. No matter what you do endless streams of divisions keep coming through the constitutionalist side.

I actually just loaded up the save from constitutionalist save to see. They had 216 divisions.

Huh, now although I've seen that the Midwest is supposed to remain neutral and they didn't for me, I got America (Neutral America) easy and very early using only a few Free Corps, relied alot on calvalry. It's ironic, before the war started the only units I made was an "experimental tank corp" which I made with only 1 squad of prewar tanks, made it in DC and fought it in South Ohio/West Virginia. Pushed for DC first and eventually managed to separate New England and the Midwest at Cleveland via calvalry rushes. At that point I was starting on the reworking the govt, pushed the North all the way to the Plains and was working on Rewriting the constitution to become Fascist (was at around 70% support), but I guess I pushed a bit too far into Arizona and the war ended before the ideology change, so then a Neutral heavily fascist leaning America Annexed Canada, Annexed the low population North Mexico, puppeted all of Central America (including a small Mexico), Puppeting Colombia and Ecuador, and fighting a long and bloody war with the "South American Group" consisting of fascist Venesualia, Peru, and Brazil, spent about a year in instant stalemate, eventually capitulated Venesualia, shortly after then Peru, and spending many many years fighting in the Amazon and in the meantime allying Bolivia. I tried a Benelux strategy with those 3 countries North of Brazil (forgot to mention I decolonised most of the world in settings) but got bogged down for a long time. Finally in 1954 I managed to navaly invade basicly the entire Brazilian coast and capitulate them, puppeted all the before mentioned nations except I Annexed basicly all of Brazil except for two southern states bordering uruguay. Now at this point I had also finished a long war with Denmark over Greenland and Iceland, took a ton of nukes but I managed after a few years and attempts, and in South America Paraguay, Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay had all gone red and formed the "South American Coalition" and Bolivia (who was simply an ally, not a puppet) was majority red and having an election soon, I made the massive mistake to preemptively kick them and begin justification expecting them to ally with their immediate neighbors, but instead they ally with the German Empire, who at this point literally ruled the rest of the world.....so I cancel in sorrow. I then invade Paraguay with my allys out of the war and begin yet another long and bloody war in the space of 3 tiles.....lost a decent portion once, build a magino line, used nukes and ciphers frequently, capitulated and lost Paraguay, developed heavy tank divisions and used massive naval invasions and air drops in unison, finally moved into Argentina and got supply back in order, eventually pushed to Uruguay, and by the point I was about 1/3rd the way down Argenta I called in all my puppets and we absolutely crushed the far south. I puppeted their mainland and Annexed their Islands. Now at this point the world was split between the Neutral "American Confederation" of, well, America and the American East Indies and the German Empire and its massive following of puppets, and it's ally Bolivia, and a hodgepodge of minors, a decent sized India, and Australia. I've left it at that so far, if i go to war woth Germany I'm sure I'll die XD
