MTG How to deselect naval task region
Hey guys, so I'm just getting used to the new MTG stuff and I just could not figure out how to deselect a naval group from going to a specific region. The old way allowed me to just click the hold button, which cancelled orders- but now, the orders seem to stay no matter what I do.

I have the same problem. Sounds logical that shift clicking would deselect the region, just as shift clicking deselects army units. I will try!

isn't it just right click?

there's no "cancel all" like you used to be able to do.

Shift clicking the region DOES work! Dont shift-click the naval task symbol but shift-click the general region instead.

I just tested it and you do have to shift-right click to deselect regions. Kinda silly considering I usually only use a mouse to play this game.

The new naval system is still really confusing though. So naval groups don't have home ports anymore? They just go to whatever port is closest?

And how exactly do you deal with all of the errors with selecting multiple naval regions for one group? Are you supposed to have different task forces under the same group for each region now?

All I'm saying is the the new UI for managing your navy is very confusing. All I really wanted was the new naval tech tree/ship mod system, and maybe the new naval combat system, and I would have been happy with the old management system.

Alot of the other changes are also questionable too, like the fuel system. Took me awhile to figure out that importing oil is the best way to increase fuel production, yet I was stuck fighting the UK and USSR while having to keep my naval fleets in port. Manpower felt different too, like I had a lot less of it (though to be fair, Italy claimed most of France this time which was probably why).

Agree. How Pdox could work on this single HOI expansion for over a year and still produce something so convoluted and counterintuitive is beyond me. I was just pulling my hair out trying to figure out how the f**k to stop taskforces from wandering halfway across the Pacific.

Straightforward and clear are not words one can reasonably use to describe Man the Guns...

If you hover over region it shows you all possible commands in tooltip.. its not secret.
