Attack and defense modifiers
I have noticed he attack and defense modifiers for the ai do not add up correctly. The ai is generally given between 100-200% extra that's not listed as to why.

For example

defense 1030
base value 453,7
Modified to 227.20% due to

Experience +10.00%
Enemy air superiority -9.00%
Entrenchment +22.10%
Terrain +25%
Country +19.10%
Commander Skill +25%

Maybe in bizzaro land that adds up to 227 percent, but in the land of reality where I come from all those pluses and minus only adds up to 92.20%

What are the hideen bonuses the ai is getting. The hidden bonus I have seen paradox swear up and down the board the ai does not get.

It's a series of multiplications.
You don't add up the percentages of bonuses and then multiply.
The individual bonuses are applied to the modifiable value.

Apparantly the land you're from doesnt teach math(joke).

The AI cheats equipment on higher difficulties and a little amount on regular, but their soldiers aren't on uber drugs (even though their braincell count suggests otherwise).

453.7 x 227.20% = 1030

Hmm that is weird because if you add the bonuses consecutively you only get 884.

Order of operations thing I guess?

My games have been crashing every time I try to play them, so I have just been playing on the easiest difficulty. The ai shouldn't be getting any bonuses from the difficulty setting either.

that's why adding a new modifier is more powerful than increasing an existing one

Seriously, try multiplying each modifier with the current value of the stat one by one.
There are no hidden bonuses.

I did that but they did not add up right. There must be an order they get added.

They do mate.
You need to take 453.7 x 1.1 for the first bonus.
Then you need to take that value x 0.91 for the 9% malus.
Then that x 1.22 etc.

In the end it works

You are probably applying these modifiers to the base value everytime and not to the current value in your momentary step of the calculation.

Its not intuitive but makes sense.
