Why even pick Rudolf Hess ??
if he's going to leave anyway ? it seems like a waste of political power !

you don't waste any political power unless he's the last thing you choose before he dies. I like it because you don't need the extra political power gain once the war is under way and the MEFO bills are gone. I like to replace him with Himmler anyway.

Pays for itself within 2 years, if you get him and Goebels early you'll be filling your cabinent very quickly and basically have it full by 1940.

You make your self ever so slightly weaker short term, but make yourself snowball ahead long term.
