It is unclear appeared this message today. The game does not start.

Unable to locate the configuration file.

So, get a error saying Unable to locate the configuration file. I verified my files and was missing one but after getting that and restarting the game. I just get the same error. Any help?

Tried deleting documents folder, laucher folder, verify the game and reinstall 2 times

found a fix
try downloading the older version of the game inside properties and betas

Yeah, that works. Sadly I was playing a mod so can't go back. Seems it is a launcher problem. (What a shock...) Thanks for helping out but seems I will need to wait on a fix.

Крч, я сделал всё как там написано, только у лаунчер говорит ,,Не удалось подключиться к Steam. Проверьте, включён ли он?''

exit the Steam app completely
- uninstall Paradox Launcher v2 from the Windows "Apps and features" utility, if still present.

Delete the following folders if still present:
- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Roaming/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/

- удаляешь Paradox Launcher v2 через панель управления, если он там есть.

Далее удаляешь эти папки:
- C:/users/<Имяпользователя>/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/<Имяпользователя>/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/<Имяпользователя>/AppData/Roaming/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/

I have the same problem with my HoI 4 but when i try to start the game on any Version its sight Unable to locate the Configuration File can anybody help me Please?
