Title says it all. How is it possible at any point given that Germany will invade Denmark at 1938-1939?

No matter which country in scandinavia you use, none of them have enough time to turn facist or communist to conquer the other states before either 1, Germany conquers denmark which in turn is impossible to get back from them 2, all major powers start guaranteeing independence of all democratic scandinavian countries?

I play on non historical, but as sweden (who has an ideology drift defense even) I am fascist/communist by 1938 and have taken denmark by 1939. The hard part is taking Norway before they join the allies.

Sweden is most powerful in Scandinavia, turn Communist (because Allied AI will not bother guaranteeing countries being justified on by communist countries unless you've caused a ton of WT) ASAP (can do this by early 1937) and justify/declare on Denmark. By now it should be late 1937. Then justify and declare on Norway before 1939. If possible, take Finland. If you're trying for Northern Light do the same but puppet each country in the peace deal. For Denmark puppet Faeroe Islands, Norway Trondelag, and Finland Aland. For Northern Light you must also take communist branch of the generic tree and take Ideological Fanaticism to create factions.

Take in mind allies usually don't guarantee when at war with the axis, plus everything Darth said. So you should be able to take Finland just fine.

Play non-hs go Sweden. Make sure you set up everything up to get Communisim fast as possible. Save all PP to justify on Denmark and Norway same time. Naval Invasion Denmark and then paradrop on all points in Norway. Also its important you influence Finland and make sure you get enough resources to the commie faction. If everything done right, Denmark and Norway should be yours by later 1937 and Finland shall be in a civil war by 1938. Make sure you get the Commie Finland party as an ally. It doesnt matter what happens to them. But there's a lot of RNG in this by the way. UK on non-hs tends to screw you over and the rng factor in turning communism before 1937 is also lame. For me it was a lot of redo because of those 2 factors.

Or you can go Finland fast to facist join Axis, declare on all 3 at the same time and puppet them. This can also be done by 1938, to avoid UK joining the war is have relation with them at least 50 since they wont declare war on you if they guranteed on non-hs. Make sure you take out Denmark before asking for Germany help. Since it will limit their involment.
