1400 mod

I have been discussing and talking to people that are supportive of my different ideas about this in general, so I thought I would talk about it here. What end date would you all like to see, how polished do you want it, what are some overhaul things youd like to see, What would you consider a great first draft of mod?

Reason I am asking is I am debating just throwing a new resource system together after MTG(any major overhaul I do will wait until then) and then release it with some historical states and like revamped to show the a few new countries but other than that, it would be very bare bones. I though want to make the mod, for many reasons, but the adding of mechanics I want to do, may take along time to code and test for balance.
