How come my puppets keep calling allies into war?

Sometimes I really don't want to call in allies who are not my puppet into war if I know it is going to be an easy one, so that I don't have to share land with anyone. I would, however, like to be able to call in my puppets but then they just immediately begin inviting the entire faction to the war... Does it have something to do with their autonomy level, because it feels like an oversight if it isn't.

Puppets beeing able to call in anything is bullsh**. Unless ordered to do so they really shouldnt do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ other than trying to free themselves from bondage
