Quick question about the "Battlecry" achievement

Can you get the "Battlecry" achievement from Waking the Tiger (which requires to conquer all of China and Japan as a warlord) by following the "Cooperation with the nationalists" path?
I'm asking this because if you follow that path as, say, Guangxi Clique, you'll eventually turn into China, and I fear the game won't let you unlock the achievement since it isn't clear if you are still considered a warlord by that point.
Doing this would really simplify things as you would annex China peacefully and it's the only way to get rid of some negative national spirits.

That achievement has only two requirements:

Playing as either:
Guangxi Clique
Shanxi
Sinkiang
Xibei San Ma
Yunnan

Conquered all of China and Japan

So if you start your game as the Guangxi Clique then the first condition is checked, then what you become later during the game is irrelevant. To get achievements you must be playing on ironman and in ironman you cannot use console command to say tag switch between countries. Therefore these nation specific achievements are checked by what you start the game as (except Freegypt which you have to start as UK and then release and play as Egypt).
