Normally you have to focus heavily on producing fighters to fight the Germans, but France isn't nearly as difficult to overwhelm with the rather large starting RAF, so instead just spam military factories and pump out ground troops to cross the Channel. Spread your landings around the Normandy and Calais ports (Cherbourg, Dunkerque, and the one east of Le Havre), and you should be able to win with a few encirclements. Your first landing is likely to get stuck, so go for an Operation Cobra sort of strategy (encircle the French from the west, earning yourself a few extra ports in Bretagne, while they're busy fighting you near Caen).
Once the French are beaten, you have a ton of industry to work with, and can attack any democratic power outside of the Americas with virtual impunity since no other democratic majors exist (other than the USA, who already has 21 independence guarantees and can't really do any more). Fascist Britain is actually obscenely-powerful.
You might want to use the Mobile Warfare doctrine as it will give you a manpower boost that might come in handy.
I usually prefer Indonesia for manpower, considering India has a ton of manpower maluses limiting their potential manpower to maybe 24 20-width divisions (versus a mindless number available from the hundreds of millions of population in malus-free Indonesia, which can be easily puppetted by invading the Dutch while you annex France). It's also worth releasing puppets in Kenya, Zimbabwe, Egypt, and (if you conquer Belgium) the Congo (I'd never recommend Botswana due to its wealth of chromium though, and similarly would rather hold onto Zimbabwe). Wait to release puppets until you're fascist though, so they go down the Fascist political tree and get an extra 7% manpower for you to harvest. For the start, you have enough manpower between India and Britain itself.
India is useful for the start of the game though.
Ez game
You'll have all of Scandinavia, Iberia, France and maybe even baltic states before or in early 1939 if you do it this way.
Go to your unit production screen. Out on the top-right corner should be a little crown with an arrow
Hit it and select the nation you want to recruit from. It will take you to that particular nations templates.
Find a template that matches roughly what you want, open it up and at the bottom of the template there should be a "copy" button.
Hit the copy button and the template will now be stored in your own folder and you will be able to change it around to match your intended template (hence why you find one that matches roughly, to save on XP)
A small flag will indicate which nation it will draw the bulk of it's manpower from (sattelites will give you 60% of the required manpower while integrated sattelites give you 90%)
Note that this requires the "Together for War" DLC; otherwise, I think you can also ask for divisions from your puppets, but they have to make them first (so you might need to lend-lease them weapons).
