once you get down to the war dec side of the tree its a constant expansion of land and industry the vast majority of which comes with cores given time and if you dont care about paticular nation bonuses and the path you take you can quite easily get 10% extra manpower with no downside, plus another 5 from mass assault :)
really the only road block you face is japan put you only have to force them off the main land and germany and when i get into conflict with them they are usually at war with syndies anyway so a free slog to berlin and youve reclaimed the holy land of russia.
after I that isually help the brits get their home back
I did a World Conquest with the Russian Empire, but it didn't feel at that special, it's Russia and you throw men at the enemy until they run out of bullets.
USA in the 2ACW is fun if the PSA and Mexico don't join in but I did that and Germany won for once so the game was over.
The country I can say I had the most fun with was Serbia, it really felt like an actual campaign and a real stuggle against the Austrians, though I could only do it because France attacked Austria. (I lost over 300K Serbs in that war)
I can see why people lihe Kaiserreich over the main game but I feel like *this* happens too much and because *this* happens *that* will always happen and any sort of randomness cones from X country deciding to do down X focus.
(Also how does the Union of Britian falls apart and Canada gets control over the Home Islands, that happened once and I haven't see it again)
i dont tend to notice the ai modifiers much but nat pop is usually the way i love to go as it has nice broad bonuses good stabillity more manpower didivion bonuses and poltical gain factory output at the end.
plus i dont know how but a couple of times i have had the option to turn monarchist when one of the tsars dies and his son takes over it doesnt happen all the time but ive seen it happen and i get to keep the bonuses of the natpop line
i usually stick with the federalists. just stuck in washington is quite fun and challenging
