The Afghanistan problem

I am playing as Iran and am trying to restore Persia. I am doing this as unaligned to avoid the UK jumping the gun and invading me over facisim. My main issue is dealing with Afghanistan on my own.

Heres my process
-get to 15 military factories ASAP and divide production evenly across arty, weapons, and support equipment. (Re-assign as necassary to maintain supply losses)
-Set up infrastructure to build to 5 from tehran to the Iraqi and Afghani borders
-modify my divisions to 20 width (INF- 10inf/arty,recon, and engineer support. Cavalry identical) with no line arty due to terrain penalties and limited industry.
-build my army up with 16 INF 8 CAV
-if tension is high enough justify on iraq
-finish training army to rank 3
-commit war crimes against iraq
-begin fighter production with iraq's factories
-justify against Afghanistan
-train 4 more infantry divisions
-train 4 modified infantry divisions (5inf 5alp, arty,recon,eng support )
-send cavalry to reserve army
-begin war
-micro my army to take advantage of holes in afghan lines and the few non mountain tiles avaliable.
-rofl stomp their army to about 3 tiles away from Kabul
-begin war of attrition that depletes my manpower from them non stop attacking and having large unit compression due to them having an a** backwards production capacity (2 factories normally) but still pump out 40 divisions with 18 width.

Things ive tried
-airborne immediately (they get swamped in seconds as i cant get enough transports to maintain supply)
-cavalry rush through holes (similar issue as above due to penalties and infantry being tied up on the front)
-join comintern (soviets experience same issues my Army has)
-join axis (hahahahahahahahahahaha)
-join allies (see above)
-leave afghanistan for later (get rofl stomped due to lack of industry by the allies or axis as every country i can attack normally gets guarantee chained into the allies or axis or e.g. romania guranteeing turkey/ or they are straight up member nations e.g. UK, France, USSR)

So does anyone know a good way of dealing with Afghanistan.I need the space to build industry and milk every tiny bit of manpower possible. Im going in with seasoned and elite divisions sometimes and still being drained of MP to the point of not being able to commit to the world war. I am by no means a tactical genius but i am fairly competent as afghanistan is the only issue I have this issue with. Ive conquered europe as Venezuela but cant deal with this one f****** country

Your real trouble is the lack of artillery. Mountains can be painful to crack but there is no issue that more artillery cannot solve. also try dive bombers and fighter craft. Dive bombers are the best way to deal with stubborn defenders.

yeah.,., sometimes it's hard not to get bogged down in a 'small' war with afghanistan(The Graveyard of Empires) That terrain is terrible.,., almost like a war in brazil... it's not 'hard' but it turns into a war of attrition everytime, plus you might as well leave those fancy tanks behind and your fancy 40width doomstacks because personally i've found that in those situations, less is always more.

today I defeated India Iraq and Turkey but when it came to Afghanistan I was defeated by Afghanistan beside the coup that I put over there with 50+ division and enough supply hub

Go about it completely different. Declare war and then leave your borders undefended. Retreat. Let them come. Then, on your soil and with best supply, encircle and eliminate. The road is open now.

Afghan and communist China, this is always the way, no need to eliminate unless you want to though, you'll get a % of their equipment when they capitulate if you leave them alive and contained.

Try building 10 Widths to have more Organization. I would try to keep them together in a minimum of stacks of 4 and at most, however much supply allows. My 10W Division has 5 Infantry Battalions with these 2 Support Companies; Artillery, and Cavalry Recon. Your economy will be too small to build enough Support Equipment for Engineers. Don't bother building Planes.

Basically you want to out number the enemy and have more Org than them.
