A General can only control one army, whether that be an army of 24 Divisions or an army of 10 Divisions. A Field Marshal can control 5 Armies/5 Generals. Basically you want your generals to be under a Field Marshal because they will get more bonuses that way. You can use a Field Marshal as a general, but it's not very effective to do.

How do you put generals under a field marshal?

The bigger portrat box at the bottom is the Field Marshal, and will always be to the far left, the smaller one is the general box and is always on the right. When you have an army selected, you just right click on the Field Marshal's portrait, and it will add it to his command. It should say 1/5 if you've successfully placed the army under his command.

Having different types of armies under one FM will not affect anyrhing.

Yep, a Field Marshal won't change how an army works, it'll just add more buffs on top of the Generals own buffs.

Also. When creating an army group under a FM i see that diferent generals are assingned to diferent part of the FM frontline so you can give diferent orders to diferwnt generals.

Heres my question how do you decide wich general goes where on said frontline.

For example i have rommel with a panzer army and johanes blackowitz with an army of infantry. I want rommel to be north of frontline and blackowits south. Its currently inverted how can i fix that

Btw many many thx to you all for the help

Use the edit front line tool for the individual generals.

I'm not 100% sure how they create the line, but I think it might be based off of what number they're at on the Field Marshal's list. So my guess would be if you put Rommel first he'll be north, and if you put Blackowitz last he'll be the south and if that doesn't work, swap their place.

You might also be able to create the frontline with your Generals first, then add the Field Marshal's line.

And one last thing. How do you actualy convert older equipment from DOD dlc? I see nothing

Also can you make a specific army supply and reinforcwment priority without doing it from the whole template. Dont want tonprioritize all infantry just the one in a specific army

Just gonna link the Developer Diary since they show/explain it better than I can. :P

It's at the very top of the page and also explains what you can convert.
