Any way to open the event pop up once you have closed it?

I know some of you find them annoying : )

I know I can set the option to pause the game for event pop ups but was hoping there is an event log so I can see what has happened in the world?

Kind of like other games have journals?

I was wondering the same thing - as France when the Germans invaded the Rhineland I asked England to join me in fighting them. At least I thought I had - I paid the political cost but I couldn't see that I have become its ally or check back to see exactly what I agreed to! It took a little while for England to respond and during that time I felt I was in limbo...
