How does climitazation work?
As far as I understand, if your troops are in cold or hot weather they gain bonuses to fighting in that kind of weather, so for example as the Soviets you would want to put all your troops in Siberia to climitize them to the cold? This makes for a very odd playstyle.

Is there no catch to putting all your troops in freezing weather or blazing?

They would have the penalties anyway, right? At least you can avoid having the climate based attrition in battle. Only thing is acclimating doesn't remove the penalties, just lessens them; so don't forget about the troops in Siberia when they're fully acclimated.

The acclimatisation dissipates when not in cold or hot weather so there isn't much point in having your troops in extreme weather rather than on the front
