Is France OP?

I am currently playing France for the first time and I was astonished how easy it was to defend against Germany. I just had to build some forts from Maginot to the Channel, and waited for Germany to be slaughtered in front of my walls. Then, I invaded Italy (pretty easy though) and Yugoslavia joined Allies. I am currently defending a non fortified line (with 150 divisions against 300) from Austro-Italian border to Yugoslavian-Romanian border. Germany keeps attacking and lost 3 millions soldiers in 6 months. How the hell is that possible?

If by OP you mean overpowered, that depends on strength of faction it’s in. Going to war against allies is hard to defend against invasion. I even had South American countries invading

well if its too easy why dont you play against other players and you will see france isnt really that strong

I play France when I want the easiest game possible. Ignore MP smuggies.

They are OP. Axis plants them with fertilizer after capping them. By 1946 they have 200 divisions with 5 million men on extended.

I played my first WtT game as Germany and found France to be a pushover. They seemed to send most of their divisions south to fight Italy - nothing on Belgian border

My first game I had France die to me(Germany) vary fast. Ai France sucks there not that smart to know that theres allways a way around. But Muliplayer player base it can be but i think there a little more work into liveing.

france is a joke, they can never defeat the axis no matter what

Playing France against the Ai is pretty easy. France starts off with a good number of units, factories, and space to build. Then you also have time to go down all the focuses to get rid of all the negative national spirits and also get the land forts. France also starts with a pretty big navy. The only thing you'd ever be behind in tech-wise should be land doctorines.

AI France is broken due to it's leader's trait, focus on defense. But when player controlled, it can be OP.

thanks I didn't understand how much the AI was ♥♥♥♥♥♥ until I stamped on Germany playing Yugoslavia in a one and one combat
