How to load a save from an older version

Is there any way to load a save from an earlier version? Because all of my saves are now unable to load because of the update Is there any way to make them compatible with the new version? Thanks.

If Paradox does the same for HOI as they do for Stellaris, right click the game --> Properties --> Betas and there should be a dropdown where you can pick your version. I'm not at my computer to look myself.

I think 1.4.2 was the last version before 1.5.

That'll at least allow you to finish your current games, but going forward saves usually aren't compatible between major patch versions.
