Turning turkey fascist
Hi guys,

I've tried a turkey game, turning it to fascist. I ended up in a civil war, when I had about 60-70% party support. Do you have any experience, if the civil war do allways happen?
Or just random cases?

And this is how the Soviets invaded Turkey. Due to them not able to join the allies for protection, Turkey was forced to join the Axis for protection. When Germany declared war, Turkey was invaded by the Soviets. This gave them direct access to the Mediterarean, which the used to invade Italy. Due to bombings by Soviets in Rome, Vatican City was forced to join the axis themselves and were invaded and distroyed by Soviets. When the Iron Curtan fell, it fell on the French border. Switzerland fell to a communist coup and extended the iron curtain. The Pope somehow survived and forced to flee to Spain. Soon, communist take over France and extended the iron curtain fell farther. This lead to the Soviets winning the Cold War.

In other words, Turkey saved the world by not going Fascist and joining the axis.

Ask Erdogan. Ok now jokes aside, don't ever go for the civil war, always pick fascist demagogue first and go for referendum, also I don't know why you didn't take the decision when you had 50% support for fascism. You set yourself for failiure by stalling your justifications against the nations you wanted to occupy.

Interesting fanfic. However, the Black Sea Fleet was in no shape to do any sort of operation from 43 onwards, not an invasion of Turkey and certainly not an invasion of Italy in 44/45 because by that time it was already invaded by the Allies. Who, by the way, would have invaded Turkey first before any significant amount of soviet troops would be able to fight through the Caucasus or across the Bosporus.

The problem is that I haven't get the option for the referendum. Only for the war to break out, no other choices...

That's highly unlikely, when you get a different ideology advisor you get two options: go for referendum which costs 75 pp and civil war which costs 50 pp and you can take both of them even though you don't need to.

I can't imagine why you wouldn't get the option for the referendum, maybe you're using mods which could potentially break the game?

No mods, vanilla game with expansions. I have never seen this, maybe only with soviets turning to fascist...
Maybe there chances of it, higher on some nations, I don't know
