Militarisation of The Rhineland

Hi everyone, I recently started a playthrough as Germany in the 1936 scenario. I'm at March 1936 and so far no Rhineland Re-militarisation event has occurred so I was wondering is there no event or is there something specific I have to do to trigger it? thanks for any help received.

It's a focus you have to research in the german focus tree, 'Remilitarise the Rhineland'.

Top of the tree, scroll to the right a bit to see it

It's literally the first focus.

Now I feel like a total idiot. I've already selected the four year plan so I assume I now can't remilitarise the Rhineland.

You can do it anytime you don't have a National Focus selected, it takes 70 days to complete a Focus and you cannot change it once you start, it must be finished.

Most Focuses on a tree can be done, there is only a few which are either / or choices. Their effects are generally permenant unless stated otherwise,

Alot of focuses are also locked untill certain criteria is met, such as world tension % or in Germany's case, how many men you have in the army.

4 year plan is generally a good start for Germany

@OP: Yeah you can get away with NOT remilitarising for quite some time, but note that some other focii give extra boosts if you have first.

The new German focus tree is quite nice.
