How to stop my divisions attacking.

So i have a front against soviets who have 10mil loses but stil attacking. Now whenever they take lan my forces counter attack losing strenght+org and lose more land which is criplling me. I got on 1 agression and dont have an offensive line drawn.

They try to maintain the original front line, so they attack back to the original province(s). I think a fallback line (instead of a frontline) will stop them from attacking.

Doesnt matter lost to them. My units attacked till 0 equipment then they pushed through and won.

So there isnt an option to prevent counter attacks?

Now a sov puppet. Just annoying to lose a war that i should of won.

If I order them to stop attacking, they do. I have to keep an eye out for them counter attacking, but I've never had them start attacking again once I tell them stop.

you just needed more equipment they can have 10 mil losses but if they still have men and guns its over, manage your production so all of your troops will always be supplied. Eventually the soviets will run out of men and have to go deep into costly conscription laws. If you have the men and euipment necessary set a general attack with your feild marshal and attack some units will begin to breakthrough and eventually you'll be on the attack.

They were on all adults serve. We got to moscow then they landed a massive naval invasion on romania and had like 100 divs there. So i sent half my force there to take them out and poland ran out of manpower so it was just me holding. Eventually i liberated romania and began getting surged out of poland so i retreated to forts on polish border lvl4+ but they got smashed by the sovs tanks.

My great new overlords brought a battered germany into a war with the allies and japan. Soviets still crippled from their war with me are unable to fight any of the people they got into the war with our side with 3mill fielded against 15mil fielded.

Interesting AI hasent done that in the past, im just curious did you have enough equipment/manpower?

i had 2mil man power before i began falling back and 100% equip. But i always find when using frontline they attack. to reclaim land lost from the oringinal war.
