Deleting air force?
I saw a lest play (Reich) where they start by deleting most of the airforce.
It was a lets play with no voice over and so I am at a loss.
Why do they do this?

if you delete your air squadron, the planes go back in stock.

then you can lend-lease them in order to get air exp, and be able to produce improved version of better plane in the future.

or you can convert the older planes into new ones, you will then have better planes quicker and at lower cost than if you just build them from scratch.

you will usually do this with interwar planes ( especially fighters ) as they are almost useless later in the game.

Ah, I see. Maybe I should have done this at the start of 1936, though I'm only on the 3rd June now and still waiting for my justify war goal on Poland. I could try this with my Western Air forces, as I am only planning to go east at the moment.
Im not quite sure how to delate them. Is it the Dispand Air Wing trash icon?

How do you convert older planes into newer ones?

1) have old planes on stock

2) make a newer plane production line

3) on the production line card, you have a small icon to recycle your old plane into new ones.
