Germany AI can't invade UK?

Playing as Iraq and it's 1950 right now. Germany won against Soviets and now there are no more battles in Europe (except some UK invade attempts)

Why can't Germany invade UK? They got enough Ship Factorys to build a heavy fleet. As Iraq it's pretty impossible to invade UK or USA.

It's a problem with the AI - it's broken. On the flip side, the UK can't defend against an invasion either so it's broken as well.

I give it about a 15% chance in any game that the Axis AI will ever manage to invade the UK on it's own.

Also, 0% chance anyone can Naval invade the US. Only way US ever gets invaded is if the human player does the UK themselves to end the inital war (and probably the Soviets as well) and then germany or japan takes Canada in a peace deal and can invade from there later if the US get involved in a war

The AI is dreadful.

Yeah i also never saw that Germany invaded UK. Fun fact, when i play as UK i get serval invades by Germany / Italy. lel

So the game is basically over or me. I cant do much on my own. Building a big fleet as Iraq would take Years and even then i would lose most of them to UK and USA. rip game

My last 2 games Fascist Spain joined the Axis and successfully invaded the UK while Germany and Italy (me) slogged through the USSR. I had hammered the UK fleet first, though; they were down to single digits.

One game nothing else happened. US sent occasional forays to North Africa before I started over.

The other game Germany successfully invaded Iceland and Greenland and was working on a part of Canada before I invaded the US through South America as Italy. The US fleet was destroyed by the time Germany started moving into Greenland, though. Doubt they would have done it if my naval doomstacks hadn't cleared the oceans first.

Some times the ai does nothing when your not playing as an ally but when you do UK gets overly spammed by invasions, and bombings. Most of the time germany goes to invade france then has 20 to deal with naval invasions when declaring war on the soviets.

Never seen the AI launch a successful attack on the UK once.

In earlier versions of the game they didn't attack mainland Japan too. They game would be in stalemate if you didn't intervene.

The AI will attempt the invasions, but you will have to destroy the fleets and keep boats stationed to make the invasions possible. I've seen Russia defeat the US by itself when I played Communist Turkey (I was busy fighting Japan and reorganized Chinese puppets), but I had to sink the US fleet by myself. Same thing with UK.

The above numbers are pretty accurate; 90% of all games I've seen the Axis/Russia can't even defeat the UK's navy, let alone launch an invasion (paratroopers? HAH). They NEVER defeat the US navy. The US will usually defeat the Japanese navy because they'll actually deploy a decent amount of leveled up Carriers and Battleships later in the game. Japan never does, because (and this is why the AI SUCKS at the naval game) they never build more docks.

I have only seen UK be invaded by Germany by playing with the Expert AI 2.0 MOD. Also seen Itlay.

Picked up Hearts of Iron 4 fairly recently, and in my first playthrough as Italy, Germany invaded the UK in support of my own invasion plans. Portugal of all countries actually invaded the US before anyone else after joining Axis, and the rest of the Axis including myself used that as a beachhead to push in. So the ai is certainly capable of invading though that hasn't really happened in any of my more recent play throughs. I've mostly been playing Allies though and the naval supremacy we have pretty much ensures no invasions are possible.
