Should I upgrade my infantry to motorized/mechanized?
So, I'm playing as Brazil, I have 40 divisions, all infantry (with engineer/mp/signal/logistics as support and 20 width with infantry battalions). The year is currently 1941, and I own Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia and Argentina. Should I upgrade them to motorized (or mechanized), or should I keep them and start training mobile infantry?
Planning to take Chile, Peru and Ecuador, but can take some months to upgrade my army (I think).

due to the area that you are in stay with infantry as they are better suited for jungle/mountain warfare than say mot or mecs. Use those spare factories on fighters or cas or bombers

I see, I'll use more factories for fighters and CAS (I'm not focusing on bombers, maybe I should?)

if you build bombers build tactical as they are cheaper and can be used for cas if you have spares but the bombing should help when fighting entrrcehed units in the mountains

CAS is better than tactical, in my experience. Just look at the ground attack numbers, CAS is 50% higher than tactical. AND they use 50% less fuel (the real cost of airplanes, in the long run).

And especially when playing a minor. The biggest advantage that tactical have, is that they are long ranged, but you don't need that as a minor.

Never, ever, ever replace infantry with motorized or mechanized. Tried it once as the US, not worth it. The enemy will be able to pierce your divisions, giving you a nasty debuff in terms of casualties taken and equipment lost. Even worse, mechanized equipment is expensive, meaning you'll have to constantly halt the advance to replace your losses. Motorized doesn't suffer as badly, but it still just isn't worth cost, especially with the new fuel rules.
