combined arms as well, mix your armor with infantry at the start. you can adjust later. As Germany you can risk building some heavy tanks to use as infantry support (3-4 inf and 1-2 heavy tank, recon, logistics and if you have researched it, supply.
This way your initial thrust won't be so taxing on your divisions. long range air support which does not take part in the advancing supply as well as starting at the southern end as well to give you time to build there.
Also remember transports can help (minor) with supply drops.
Build up infrastructure in the areas were the supply goes through, or build up as much as possible.
Try to make the Poles give some of the occupied terretory to you, that way you can repair the infrastructure / build up more.
Get garrison divisions on the occupied terretory regardless of who occupies it. Resistance will damage infrastructure lowering the supply that goes through.
But to be fair, Barbarossa on an allied front is indeed a real pain. Whenever I play as a Axis ally and want to help Germany with Barbarossa I often cannot since the German divs are eating all supply. Maby you can just leave it to the Poles and just use a few of your best divisions to support them. Lend Lease the Poles tons of equiptment and also use your airforce.
And finnaly, you could try and naval invade Leningrad, build up a port nearby Berlin to lvl 10 and you can do pretty well invading Leningrad.
My heavy tanks template is 4 heavy tanks and 2 infantry is that ok? My plan was to use them as spearhead to take Moscow because it worked against Yougoslavia and Greece. The rest is mostly infantry and some light tanks.
Also is it normal that I rarely get air superiority even though I have like 2000 planes divided in two regions?
My troops are not advancing and when they do they almost always lose the battle I don't know what's wrong.
heavy tanks are very hungry so kept those low if possible. your will go to medium tanks to replace those around 40,41' which helps with supply. Light tanks for recon only unless you have managed to get mech infantry. they are great for encirclement
Next time I'll just take Poland and I won't invest as heavily in heavy tanks I have 50 of my 117 military factories building heavy tanks.
Thanks for the tips guys.
