The British focus tree is realy good, the US one I think is nice aswell, Mexico's focustree is to big in my option and I honestly did not realy play with the Dutch focus tree.
The new navy system is great if you ask me, the game realy needed a better naval system and here it is.
Problem is that the cost is pretty high, 20 euro is not nothing.

What I will say though is that I'm not buying it, Partly because I don't care for naval combat but mostly because Iv'e got more important things to spend my money on and MTG's at this price is not something I'm going to entertain. I'm also partly of the opinion that buying this DLC is rewarding Paradox for not putting enough resources into fixing problems within the game, instead just adding more problems on top of the existing ones.
The reason I'm telling you this, is because this person,
like me does not own MTG's, has not played it and thus has no business what so ever telling you if it's any good or not either.
Talon's research on the matter is done with confirmation bias in mind, as in the negative reviews are the only one's he/she will look at. You'll be told the the good reviews are all from shills and fanboys, while all the bad ones are the only true reviews from real people that you should listen too.
Unless of course Talon has now bought MTG's, in which case ignore all this, Talon is just a colossal hypocrite instead.
Talon's threads is all about complaints about overpriced DLC and braindead AI. I don't know why he still cames to this forum. Nothing constructive so far.
He remembers me another private user called Avantech, whose was vanished from HOI4 steam community for the sake of God.
Nice summary. And to @HurriKN: thanks for the reminder about Avantech who was the voice of truth on this forum.
I disagreed with Avantech about many things, but I will say that he was honest. He never lied about owning the game or DLCs to bolster his point, or used alt accounts to bump threads or agree with hinself. It's sad that some people feel the need to do so.
That actually sounds appealing to me. It forces you to concentrate on either your army or navy, instead of having both of them be powerful.
The only reason I rate MtG lower than WtT is because the latter unlocks general traits and the former unlocks admiral traits.
I usually play with TfV turned off and all the rest of the DLC turned on.
MtG makes there be a lot more to naval combat than just I have more ships therefore I win - haha. Having this dlc makes the game incredibly more interesting if you care at all about having a navy. Playing MtG without owning the DLC in my mind is like having a soda vs having an ice cold soda from a glass bottle.
You will find that if you invest in navy research and your opponent does not then you will kill his navy with minimal losses.
This should remind you of what happens if a player opponent ignores army tech or doctrine research and you have not.
