Troop Training

Is it possible, by either cheats or an exploit or any other way, to train my divisions to veteran or seasoned level of experience?
I know you can do it by going to war but I prefer to have a small but highly experienced army (Special forces at veteran experience)
If there is no other way besides making them fight, whats the most efficient / quickest way for them to 'level up'

You can get them to “regulars” by training. No further. However, there is a mod titled something like “veteran troop training” that will allow you to train them higher. Last I checked, though, it had a complication with army/air/navy experience points if you used a console command cheat to gain said experience. Works like a charm other than that though.

Placing in active combat will train up divisions, and if they have marines, use them in the Pacific, as destroying a division seems to be a good amount of xp and one province islands are good for that.

Training raw recruits to L3 Regulars is a "lead time" process;
Recruit L0, to L2 Trained for INF is 120 days;
L2 > L3 by training is about 80-100 days ; so to get the "Fighting Sandcrabs" ready as L3's is close to 220 days ... or get into a fight as L2's, and HOPE they survive to L3's .

Send Volunteers is another way to level up your divisions without going to war.

You can go to the defines and change this:

TRAINING_MAX_LEVEL = 3,
DEPLOY_TRAINING_MAX_LEVEL = 3,

I have mine at 4 but you could go higher, but it can give you issues when earning experience.

Be sure that mods are not overwritting this.
