Equestria at war: How to win as Lunar Empire?
The war always drags on too long, its hard

Bit Late but still-

The main fun I get from HOI4 (despite the pain of dlc) is figuring out the right strategy for my current situation without help.
But, if you insist on needing help, I can provide some.

1.
If the war drags on for a long time it can be used to your advantage.
The more you drain Equestrias (or The Solar Empires) factories the less equipment they'll be able to produce and the less they'll be able to trade.
This is important as the country falls into dismay due to a lack of resources.

2.
Defensive is Offensive.
It's quite a weird term, but very true.
You see, going full-on assault is a silly idea as The Lunar Empire. What you should do is cause attrition for the Celestrials Units. Move your front line to accomade mountains and forests, making it harder for them to attack and easier for you to defend.
Once you have decided the unit is weak enough you can enter an offensive fight with them. If that fails rinse and repeat. If it suceeds march onto the next province.

3.
Civie and Military Factories are important.
In most of my runs I split The Lunar Empire Factories into 2 sectors:
South is Civilian.
North is Military.
And you shouldn't underestimate navies, either. They allow Naval Invasions, Bombardments, can get Planes further out and can cause the enemy to pour more resources into the Navy while you advance on land. Submarines, Carriers, Battleships, Cruisers and Convoys are the most important in my opinion.

4.
Aerial is as important as Terrainial.
The Airforce is quite important as it can provide ground support, drain the Celestrial Resources, help protect your own hand and help aid your naval expeditions. Don't forget about them and send strategic bombers and fighters to highly industrial provinces.

5.
Infrastructure is Important.
Infrastructure is important for a multitude of reasons. It helps resources get to your troops, provides faster deployment, and helps to deploy troops themselves. Never slack in it.

6.
Edit Troop Templates.
The default ones aren't the best. I suggest taking a run down of them and deploying units when you can support the equipment and ponypower needed.

7.
Trade, Trade, Trade!
Trading is important. You won't have all the resources you'll need to efficiently defeat the Celestrials, so keep your Trade Influence up and make sure no one is lacking.

And last but not least,

8.
None of this may work.
That's the thing with HOI4. It's better to adapt to a situation then follow some odd tips. This is just based off of my experience, yours could be totally different.

So even if I'm too late, I hope you good wills.

P.S. yknow maybe a sneaky little alliance with the changelings~
