Cut the strings achievement not working.

So I tried to do this easy achivement first as Canada, but when I broke free, nothing happened, so I forgot about it. Then I did the freegypt achievement and I remembered that when I did it, I got the freegypt achivement, but not the cut the strings one. So, wtf? Have any of you expirienced this? Is there a way to solve it?

You will need to play as a country that is the puppet of another nation to get this achievement. Canada is not a puppet of the UK. Try it again, but playing as th British Raj.

Canada starts the game as a dominion, the step above puppet (voids the achievement).

Games as Egypt are started as UK (voids the achievement).

As mentioned above, try playing as British Raj, build military factories, invest tech in newest infantry weapons, mass produce it and lend lease them to UK for autonomy points (technology above UK level will net more points).

You're right but I think that building convoys is way more efficient. You don't have to upgrade them and they give tons of independence points. Seriously, try it.

By simply winning the civil war as Raj will also grant you this achievement.
