Airdrop not working?
So i stationed my 8 transport planes and 8 parachute divisions all in the same province, right next to where I wanted them to drop. I assiged the parachute order, and clicked the start your battle plans arrow above the general. However, next to the theatre, I keep getting a message saying no units are assigned to the battle plans, even though they are. The troops won't budge.

Ive literally followed all the tutorials, to the book, to no avail, hence this thread. Any help is appreciated.

I also made sure my parachute order was done correctly.

If the army with the paras is the only army in that theater, then there is at least one order with no troops assigned to it. Without a screenshot I can only speculate, but one of the most common problems are that the troops are part of an army but not actually assigned to an order.

Theres one other army, but I've got them to garrison area. The parachute army is the only one with battle plans(the parachute order).

Several other things could cause an issue; 1) You need sufficient air superiority in the drop zone or permission to move troops through the territory (if not an enemy province).
2) You need enough transport planes (8 may not be sufficient?) 3) The Paratrooper division template needs to be able to be paradropped (i.e only Paratroopers and support brigades).

As I said before, without a screenshot(s), we can only speculate.
So I'll add to the post above by MeDaDaddy:
4) The paratroopers have to be assigned to the paradrop order.

1) Got 80% air superiority and I have the ability to move troops through the territory.

2) I tried it with just 1 parachute division

3) The division template was unchanged and contains only paratroopers

Im pretty they are assigned, but just to make sure, how do I assign them to the paradrop order?

Easiest way of assigning units to orders is to make the order with the units that are going to use the order selected.

So for you atm either click on the army icon in the theater (up on the right hand side) or click the portrait of the commander if that theater is already selected (down in the middle). Then R-click on the trashcan on the far right in the battle plans interface, this will bring up a confirmation box that you are about to delete all orders from this command group or nothing happens if they do not have any orders.

Now you should see small red exclamation markers next to the division icons on the left hand side. This means they are not assigned to any order atm. Now click the paradrop order icon, then click on the province with the airfield containing both the transport planes and the paratroopers which should be highlighted in light blue stripes, then r-click on the destination province within the next highlighted area in green. Now either press enter or click once more on the paradrop order icon to confirm the order.

Important note! If the takeoff point airfield is overcrowded (even by a single plane) no paradrop orders will be launched!

You should now see that the order arrow is solid and on it text will say number of paratroopers followed by the command groups name followed by number of available transport planes on the takeoff point airfield. Now the plan is ready to be activated by clicking the small green arrow up top right of the commander portrait.

Remember that during war, you have to have at least 70% air superiority in all the air areas the paradrop order crosses. In peace time this is not required, so you can do paradrops within friendly areas to quickly move your paras around.

Pretty sure 8 transport planes arent enough

that depends on the size of the paratroop division. and even if its not enough, the transport plane will return to the same tile repetedly untill all divisions have paradroped.

as mentioned already, it would be best if you post some screenshots...if not, it will only be speculations...
