As Egypt, go from puppet to a free nation using the autonomy system.


How does one play as Egypt in ironman mode when it's controlled by the UK?

play UK ---> Release Egypt as Puppet + Play as -----> Get free

[Blue Steel]

You play as the british due to them having Annexed Egypt. Then you Release them as a puppet while doing that click on the option to play as them when released.

Not sure what im doing wrong... cant seem to make this work. I played as the UK then went into the countries menu > rmanage occupied territory > release nation (on egypt) > release. But I couldnt see an option to take them over.

Any chance of a screen shot for us dumb folks ? :D

@Eliteslayer: I don't have a screenshot at hand, but these instructions might help: Start a game as United Kingdom → click on the flag in the upper left corner (or press Q instead) → click on "Manage occupied territories" → click on "Release nation" to the right of the Kingdom of Egypt → make sure to check "Play as" (whether or not you release it as a puppet is up to you) → click on 'Release'

Start a game as UK (ironman mode), go to your country flag (top left), on the bottom you'll see "Manage Occupied territories." Kingdom of Egypt - Release Nation. You'll see play as and be released as a puppet. Make sure to be released as a puppet.

So far it's 1945 and I'm barely half way from dominion to free. Takes awhile, can't change idealogy since if you start a revolt you'll become independant.

when i go Occupied territories it only shows liderates what am i doing wrong

Ok if anyone has the problem I mentioned above its because we forgot to buy or install the dlc! (derp!) Once i made sure it was installed it all worked fine.

I tried this but it said that UK cant release countries and it has to decolonize but when I do that focus it never asks if I want to play as Egypt what am I doing wrong?
