Province annex Cheat

So have the following problem:

As Italy, I conquer North Africa alone as far as Gibraltar.
Some provinces are awarded to Vicky France.This is ok it was once part of the old France. But Germany gets Algeria for doing nothing

Later, I conquer Turkey through Istanbul, Germany conquers some provinces from the west. Germany gets everything, I get nothing

There must be a console command with which I can annex provinces and / or areas and which also works.

i tried this out

setcontroller ITA 459
setowner ITA 459

and then this:
Italy now controls state Algeria
or:
Italy now controls TODO

but still I get no control over the provinces.
what am i doing wrong?

You'll get into one large peace treaty if you're in the middle of WW2, then you'll get to annex some provinces.

And yeah, console commands just break the province, i.e: you can't build in the province you annexed with console commands

Alright in console type in SETOWNER ENG 483 something like that but make sure its state id ;) or if you wanna annex the country annex ENG,GER,POL

I did this with algeria but it did not work... i dont understand. the annex command works fine...but i dont want to annex the whole county!

If you use setowner ITA 459 , It means you will now own that state but if you use it on a foreign country you will not occupy the provinces the country you took it from will still occupy them.

To take full control of a state you need to use setcontroller ITA (province id) and use it on every province individually.

The console command for setowner is to own a state but not control it, setcontroller is to own provinces(the tiles that units move on).

So i have to "setcontroller" every province of a state in order to controll it...else i get no province?

you can if you do OP and ctrl click the province before doing the cheat

All you need to do is do the cheat OP ctrl click the province you want and then do setowner ITA stateid

Use a mod for player led peace conferences or you could use the console commands in a few different ways to either take control of the state or get them through a peace conference.

ok ill try this one out. Actually , i am currently fighting in south america and i conquered some provinces for Venezuela. When i used the commands it worked well, but if i want to get land from GER/ spain it does not work

There somethings that clunky when it comes to land partitions, for example, if Romania cede Bessarabia to the USSR , and you hold Bucovina with Austria Hungary, for some unholy reasons it goes to the soviets...
