and do not strike back until 1944
German AI lacks the ability to inflict massive causelties through encirclements.
And grinding the Soviets back into their low infrastructure motherland will desimate the German AI since it also has to deal with Allied naval invasions while it has very limited manpower.
Play against Germany for once, as France or as Russia. And you'll see that they are not 'too weak'.
I suggest Getting Expert AI, it minmaxes the economy and production for AI and gives proper templates for the Ai to use. It still suffers from poor frontline AI, but expert AI germany gets ♥♥♥♥ done better than vanilla germany.
The best width for tanks is 20, not 40.
40 may be strong, but it's impractical for a large front.
But it's perfectly normal that Germany typically loses at the end: it's how it ended up historically!
And I'm not sure Germany would have had any chance to win in a parallele universe: they highly underestimated the "national unity" of USSR.
U wot m8? maybe if you play singleplayer and use frontline Ai to do the fighting like a noob. In Proper MP games you need only 3-4 40w tank divs to pocket to breakthrough anything. 20w just does not cut it against 1000 defence units.
