Cut the strings achievement is not working?
So i broke free from UK as Canada and i still haven't got the Cut the strings achievement? Do i have to be a starting colony like India or a starting puppet like Phillipines?

I think you need to do it with a puppet British Raj etc. Make sure you also turned on Ironman mode so you can get achievement

Canada starts as a dominion, which is the step above puppet, that is required for the achievement.

30 minutes wasted is rookie numbers. Come back when you fail to get the Hapsberg Prince achievement for the 12th time in a row.
