how to play as slovakia ? in 36

You dont, because in '36 Slovakia does not exist.

Slovakia only apears in '39 after the Czechoslovakia dissolution.

1. Pick czechoslovakia in the '36 start date
2. Go into the country tab ( the one where you select advisors and stuff)
3. Select the thing called manage occupied territores or something that's located in the bottom left corner
4. Click release slovakia and make sure that play as is checked and there you go

I think that should work. Sorry if it doesn't I don't have time to start hoi4 and try it right now.

1. Play Czechoslovakia. Since Slovakia does not start with cores, you will need to gain 60% Fascism support to trigger the uprising by using "Czech Consolidation".

2. Trigger and crush the uprising.

3. Annex Slovakia.

4. Release and play Slovakia.

Despite Slovakia not existing the country tags exist. Use console commands to create the cores for Slovakia. Use Debug to be able to see the State ID when you hover your mouse over the state. Use command add_core (State ID) SLO. You will click on the state then type setowner SLO and the country will appear. Finally type debug again to disable it. type tag SLO to switch to Slovakia or save your game, exit to main menu and load a game and click on Slovakia.

You could also do this in reverse, occupy the state and then make it a core. Becareful when adding cores. They cannot be removed from the current game. You will either have to load a save file or start a new game. Save the game before using console commands. When you are done type debug again to turn it off or your game could crash especially if you load a save file while it is on.
