Four games now, USA didn't join the war in any game...

Am I forced to play as USA if I want them to join WW2? This is a little ridiculous.
In the four games, I was playing as : Italy, Poland, Russia, and then China. Every game, I click historical focus. USA never joins. I've given up hope at this point...

Usuly it's on 1942.. or 1943... I think it's in their reaserch tree, some time the AI is bugged like when I played, germans start the war but britian didn't war them back....

As far as I know, USA's main joining condition is doing the "Pearl Harbor Gambit" (or something like that, its a National Focus) In which they have a chance of getting attacked by Japan and then history Goes on as it went

So you just have to hope for them to start doing that
Enabling historical accuracy will help with the chances of that.

Reasonable historical accuracy took a hike in HOI4. If you are looking for that, then HOI3 is your best bet. Hoi4 is a casual game with an idiot AI, a sad departure from HOI3.

I had US join WAY early, 1939 in my game as Italy, France went communist and USA joined allies as a way to stem the red tide, but now its 1945 and all of north america is under Italian control.

I've played too many games to count. USA joins the Allies every time.

Sounds like you're either not waiting long enough to let them join or have an extraordinary set of circumstances.
