Didn't use Nazi Flag,any reason why?

Im not sure if this has been answered before or not but did Paradox ever say why they didn't use the Nazi Flag, i got a mod that uses it so im fine on that front but wonder if they ever mentioned why the used the flag they did? thanks

Might have legal reasons. The use of nazi-emblems and associated symbols is outright prohibited in some countries except for very narrow domains (such as historical documentaries, history books etc.). Perhaps there are costs associated with getting a game approved as being such? In any case, it will simply be easier to avoid it all-together.

I think it is because of Germany beacause they dont have Hitlers Face in the game

Its illegal in Germany. The Flag of the Third Reich (Swastika) is banned/illegal here. You can get get into jail for using/showing/having one. Also the Waffen SS Runen, Celtic Cross, Solar Cross etc. are banned here.

We live in a world here we have begun to censor history for politically correct reasons. It seems to be par per course to whitewash a simple symbol in any world war 2 game. If anything, censorship just draws more curosity to something. Games need to show it and also utilize options to show how horrid Nazi Germany was.

wow thats just offensive.... The "Nazi flag" isent there cuz its banned in several countrys, if you live in one of them your game version dosent have that flag... as where i live the flag isent banned the game comes with the flag standard...

Here in Brazil the use of the swastika is forbidden, except for historical purposes and religious use (the swastika is a buddist symbol and have been used long before the nazis came to powern and yeah, i was surprised as you are now when i first read about that)

Yeah that gave me a bit of a shock when i first found that out, tried to tell my aunty who hates that i enjoy WW2 history and have alot of Aircraft dvd's about the Axis and Allies but nope she hates even hearing the word even if it is history.

I just double checked, Nazi Flag is not illiegal here so the base game should come with the Historical flag if that's the case, it's frowned upon but not illegal.
