Unit Experience Loss

Does anyone have the equation/mechanics on how unit experience is lost?

I know combat/attrition losses can reduce it. I think changing a division template can change it.

But, when my units are not in combat, is my unit losing experience.. enough to go from seasoned or veteran back down to trained/regular?

Is there a mod that stops this degradation? I put a field hospital to prevent combat experience loss but during peace time (or just out of combat) loss of experience is crippiling.

Divisons don't lose xp with time. Only if they are taking dmg. Your units most likely are suffering minor attrition.
