What do "we" wait for?
It's good it's just that it could be even better and I'm confident that it will improve with the next patches.
If you want to learn this game you need two things:
1) TIME
2) Like to Read a lot of text. Wiki blogs, Steam forums, etc...
I have had to invest a lot of energy into this just to get an idea of what is happening or why nothing is happening.
Get Civ 6 instead, people are going to kill me for saying this, mostly for saying this in this forum, but just get it, Civ 6 it's a lot more simpler and a lot more self-explanatory, might not be as satisfying to play once you've learned it, but... Meh.
PS: Personally I previously played Civ V and after I started with EU4 and HoI4 I never went back to Civ. But we are all different and therefore your milage may vary.
Game works great. Also anything that is great needs time to learn, if you can master it in an hour, it isnt much of a game :P
