Pic of hitler is also censored in germany, so that might also be the case in china

Don't see why German laws would apply to a Chinese country ... China never had any laws of that kind of censorship to my knowledge, possibly a bug?. Or somehow you're running a German version of the game, that's the only one which has the censorship of Hitler's portrait.

I'm having the same issue with an American version, and his face wasn't blacked out until the patch. Is it only for some people? I assumed this might be a problem for everyone.

It's starting to sound like a bug with the new patch to me.

If you have the German version of HoI4: It's not a bug, it's a feature.

Otherwise: Exit Steam, delete the 'dlc_signature' file in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV and then start Steam again.

I don't know how, but thanks you guys' help, my game fixed this problem with a unknown way. I just reinstalled the game and think about I would never play hoi4 again and getting crazy and when it was 3 o'clock. Everything is getting normal. Maybe it is really a bug or something.

Man was responsible for one of the biggest attrocities in human history, i dont blame them for censoring that kind of stuff.

Nice question :)

And anyway censoring someone's pic isn't gonna prevent violance or whatever...

They won the war and im not sure but i think neither of the two had plans to exterminate those who they thought were inferior. A murder is a murder but killing 6 million people because you think your race is superior is just sick.

I find it kind of ironic how they still allow things like pictures of Stalin, Mao, Hirohito, Mussolini, Tojo (who the Allies were massively racist towards back then) and certain signs and symbols like the Imperial Japanese flag and the Soviet flag and hammer & sickle insignia are still allowed in today's society .... are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding me Germany?. Even though some of those other countries, insignias and people commited WORSER attrocities, they're still allowed to be paraded around like a damn circus!.

Everything Nazi-related was removed forcibly by the Allies in a de-nazification attempt one year after Germany was defeated yet they didn't touch anyone else who possibly did worse, irony much?. The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Soviet Union killed more people than Germany did. Where's my Soviet censor!?. *autistic screeching*

That's the modern society... I won't be surprised if someone gets Steam-banned just for posting in this thread.

Mao was responsible for the deaths of up to 80 million people while Stalin sent many of his own to the gulags and Siberia to die
Both killed lots more than Hitler
