Game does not display
Whenever I launch the game, the music plays and my cursor turns into the HOI cursor, but my screen remains at my desktop. Eventually I am able to clink in the menus, but I cannot see them because nothing displays. Is this just my problem or has this happened before? (I have the Poland DLC and purchased the game about a wek and a half ago)

It could be a lot of things. Did it ever work on that computer? You don't even see the HoI4 launcher, do you?

You might want to try this:

Go down into both the folders under there, and run each of the .exe files - there are 3 all told.

It worked fine previously. Everything is normal until I click play on the launcher. The game behaves normally, but the screen is stuck on the desktop. I think it could be similar to what happened in this forum:https://steamcommunity.com/app/258970/discussions/0/613936673610988573/
The only difference is that I cannot see the game by hovering over the icon.
Nevertheless, I will try your solution now. Thanks!

I see. If the above doesn't work you could also try this: Click on the gear-wheel button in the launcher and play around with the "display mode" and 'resolution' settings there.

The "the game behaves normally" part strikes me as odd. If the problem persists I'd recommend you to get in touch with Paradox' support[www.paradoxplaza.com] to sort this out. If you do this please let us know how you were able to solve this problem.

Thanks. The only thing I can think of is my unique situation with my hardware. My computer screen itself is broken, so I have connected a tv via HDMI. This worked perfectly, but I moved locations temporarily and now the problem is happeneing. It might have something to do with the tv I am curently using vs the previous one, but I still dont see how that could do anything like this. I will try changing the screen size or something like that though

I changed it to windowed mode and it is working now. Thank you
