we already have too many western/NATO factions i think..., something like India, North Korea or some African Militia would be more interesting.

When we really need to have ANOTHER western faction i would vote for france, since we already have a lot of german equipment in other factions.

french legion etranger and african themed militia or irregular/rebel army would be my top picks for new factions, but even more i'd like NOT to have any more new factions and instead more maps and performance improvements...

Some time ago they said they said they were talking to the france and german army mod team to have said factions added to the vanilla game, like they did with australia and canada.

Poland or France would make more sense, plus there's a few BRICS countries, Russia's Naval Infantry, plus US Army needs a visual and some equipment overhauls.

Bundeswehr literally means "Federal Defence"... According to the Constitution of Germany the Bundeswehr is absolutely defensive only. Interestingly enough though, somehow mental gymnastics came into play in 1994 and the defense of Germany itself was redefined to include gallivanting all around the world as well as an offensive force. Again, this is completely against the Constitution and the citizens shouldn't have allowed it to occur. But of course as a result of the unconditional surrender in 1945 and being occupied every since Germany obeys its masters and does what its told to do.

Bottom line, putting it in the game is ludicrous and stupid.

the thing with most non western factions is that they all use russian gear. AKs (or G3s), T-Type tanks and BMPs/BTRs thats it.

IMO squad covered pretty much every type of military equipment so no matter what faction they will add it will be a reskin with a little gameplay twist.

There's currently a mod for the Germans being made, though it's largely still in development. OWI has looked at the possibility of adding the faction, though currently it's low on the priority, unfortunately the most pressing Blufor faction is the French who have a much greater history of intervention and will likely be next if the leaks are to be confirmed.

I do suspects the Germans will eventually be added as another part of the Bluefor alliance, probably when they finish the mod and OWI decides to buy it up, though if you want a more classic German experience, the MEA is pretty close...
