Don't play the same way every time. Try different things and You'll get different outcomes.
Can you teleport around without doing any quests? Can you modify your ships with ship mods without acquiring the PHQ, the station every other player have to acquire and invest in almost the same fashion? - You can't as it is a must, at least once.
It would be awesome to have an alternative way of obtaining teleportation and ship mods without having to deal with ANY quests. Like you can obtain station modules by buying them from factions for a ton of money, some early station module options are quite cheap and easy to buy within first ten hours or so.
Here's hoping the diplomacy will allow us to change other factions relations with each other, which would allow players who wish to avoid quests to have fun. (I.E. Terran war with Antigone and Argon is impossible without quests or installing mods.)
*Edit
Diplomacy will be tied to the PHQ. For those who would like to avoid the PHQ or station building and management overall - this sucks..
It's annoying and irritating.
It's a great game, for one playthrough, but once you start a new game, you'll get bored pretty fast.
edit: wording
Honestly. If not VRO I would never play your game again.
