We don't want it. We want it next gen, real, dynamic !
However, the problem with exploration is when you did it before it's not really exploration any more. To retain the initial excitement/vibe, perhaps it would be possible to introduce discoveries (or points of interest) that were not always the same, were not always in the same place, and might not even be there at all?
For example, you could have a system where there could be a list of 50 interesting things to discover, of which 10 to 15 might be selected to exist in a particular game. And if the location of these things is also random (up to a point), then this would encourage players to explore, and maintain the thrill of discovery for as long as possible.
Obviously I just plucked these numbers out of my butt, but you get the idea :)
Also, that phrase "Looking further ahead, most likely in the latter part of 2026, we have plans for yet another major update marking another milestone in the game’s development."
How about a hint as to what to expect? A tiny wee vague hint? Even if plans change and it never happens, I'd still be interested to know more about this. The word "milestone" in particular, triggers me :D
"Any plan to hire a ship designer" What? lol
I think boarding stations(that would be a battle due to them not leaving and calling in reinforcements)
1st Player when boarding ships and stations would make this game extremely immersive
At some point, it could be called a simulation
We should be able to choose more than one form the list and set them all as marines or service workers either on that ship or another ship
Same goes for setting up ware on stations. There should be a default for all wares and we can tailor to fit
Those two processes are very time consuming and tedious
Lots of missile types are just getting in the way.
Even if it means cutting down on the appeal, why not have different types of missiles in different turrets?
