Bring back the HYPERION!!!

One thing that I've dreamed of since I knew X4 would come out was flying through space in an updated Paranid Hyperion ship. That was, until I've booted the game and nooooope, no Hyperions...sigh. BUT since I can I'll ask the dev team to give the idea a thought, 'cause this was a pretty good ship in X3 and many, many people loved it, and if you could update the textures, models and stats to work best with X4, ha...PROFITSSSS! Even if it wasn't part of a free update, even if it was like a small ship DLC (with a little quest to obtain it, maybe) I would certainly pay for it.

Devs, give it a thought please, it would be a really cool addition (preferably through a free update).

PS: If anyone shares my view, comment...let it be known how important a Hyperion yacht can be!

It seems like the Hyperion was already the model for frigates in X4. They all have the same fighter landing pads and turrets. They also carry drones. I guess that means the corvettes descend from the Acinonyx prototype, maybe. I always liked a Skiron, myself.

I recommend giving the Falx a try. It's like a corvette with a frigate's docking pad. Not as fast or well armed as proper corvettes, but with four fixed weapons and two forward-facing turrets, it's better on the attack than any other frigate. A great mission runner and pirate hunter. I even manage to capture an abnormally under-crewed Behemoth with just a Falx.

Give VRO mod a try, that mod adds a Hyperion into the game, but yeah, Hyperion would be nice to have in future updates, maybe in the next DLC

There were many cool corvettes in the previous games... most of them much cooler than the Hyperion, which was just two Perseus-models kitbashed together.

That's a real old topic I've made, but since the announcement of their "small DLC" for 2025 and the supposed "undisclosed and highly requested ship" being the focus I think they are really going to bring back the mighty Hyperion Vanguard, or just Hyperion...whatever.
