Any use for the Aurora Casino?

Just curious, since i have recently finished the vig plot and have not really had any missions at the casino and it doesnt seem to have any useful function, i was originally hoping it could be a good place to recruit people but i notice all npcs at the casino are captains
Figured at the very least the trader here would be considered a black market dealer of sorts, like any major pirate station.

In same boat as you and as far as i can tell its useless. Just there kind of as a "Casino for NPC" you cant play or do anything there. Hire the pricey captains and thats it. Basically since the tutorial, first mission going there ive never went back since there wasnt anything there for me.
