that picture gets shuffled around too. it appeared a few times in "my" room; sometimes its on other rooms as well.
For whatever reason they did it, I like the fact there is more interaction with on foot content. Eventhough its not functional it does contribute to 'logic' I bet people would've said things along the line of: 'where does the crew sleep'? If these rooms were not in the facility.
Maybe just maybe egosoft is training us to be attentive at such things, (interaction with on foot stuff) hopefully for future expansions. As there is more then enough things in Timelines wich can be used in puzzles, scenarios and general immersion beyond 7.0
